Perch: known by many names around the tropical and sub-tropical worlds, this widely spread fish is a real treat to get to know. They will happily devour you livebait. Or smash your popper with gusto. They chow a trolled lure or a bucktail being jigged. They fight mean and inhabit the same waters as the infamous rock salmon. They exhibit similar feeding patterns and behaviours as the rockie.
Perch do not grow fast. And therefore, careful consideration is needed when fishing for these beautiful fish.
